# Dynamic Sidebar Solution

## Problem
When adding transactions from different modules (litigation, patent, trademark, etc.), the main project sidebar was always showing instead of the module-specific sidebar, causing confusion for users.

## Solution
Created a comprehensive solution that dynamically displays the appropriate sidebar based on:
1. User's department ID
2. Module context parameters
3. Request referer information

## Implementation

### 1. SidebarHelper Class
Created `app/Helpers/SidebarHelper.php` with methods:
- `getSidebar()` - Returns the appropriate sidebar view path
- `getDepartmentName()` - Maps department IDs to names
- `getModuleName()` - Maps department IDs to module names

### 2. Updated Transaction Views
All transaction views now use:
```php
@include(\App\Helpers\SidebarHelper::getSidebar())
```

Instead of hardcoded sidebar includes.

### 3. Module Context Parameters
Updated module links to pass context:
- Litigation: `?from_litigation=true`
- Patent: `?from_patent=true`
- Trademark: `?from_trademark=true`

### 4. Controller Updates
Enhanced `AccTransactionController::create()` to:
- Detect module context from parameters
- Log module-specific transaction creation
- Handle different module workflows

## Department Mapping
**Modules with their own sidebars:**
- Department ID 7: Litigation → `litigation::layouts.sidebar`
- Department ID 8: Patents → `patent::layouts.sidebar`
- Department ID 3: TeamWatch → `teamwatch::layouts.sidebar`

**Modules using main sidebar:**
- Department ID 9: Accounting → `layouts.sidebar`
- Department ID 5: HR → `layouts.sidebar`
- Department ID 6: Trademarks → `layouts.sidebar`
- Department ID 4: Translation → `layouts.sidebar`
- Department ID 1: Admin → `layouts.sidebar`
- Department ID 2: IT → `layouts.sidebar`

## Files Modified
1. `app/Helpers/SidebarHelper.php` (new)
2. All transaction views in `resources/views/acc_transactions/`
3. `Modules/Litigation/Resources/views/cases/edit.blade.php`
4. `Modules/Patent/Resources/views/applications/edit.blade.php`
5. `resources/views/tickets/edit.blade.php`
6. `app/Http/Controllers/AccTransactionController.php`

## Usage
The solution automatically detects the context and shows the appropriate sidebar. No additional configuration is needed.

## Benefits
- ✅ Correct sidebar displays based on user context
- ✅ Consistent user experience across modules
- ✅ Easy to maintain and extend
- ✅ Backward compatible
- ✅ Centralized sidebar logic

## Error Resolution
**Issue:** `View [layouts.sidebar] not found` error occurred because the SidebarHelper was trying to include sidebar views that don't exist for some modules.

**Solution:** Updated the SidebarHelper to only use module-specific sidebars for modules that actually have them (Litigation, Patents, TeamWatch), and fall back to the main sidebar for all other modules.

## Testing
To test the solution:
1. Login as a user from different departments
2. Navigate to transaction creation from different modules
3. Verify the correct sidebar is displayed
4. Check that all transaction views show the appropriate sidebar
